Marvin Kurzban is the managing partner of Kurzban, Kurzban, Weinger, Tetzeli & Pratt, P.A. He was born in Brooklyn, and he was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1970. He was admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida in 1971 and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, in 1976. In 1980 he was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Kurzban is a graduate of George Washington University, and he earned his J.D. with honors from the University of Miami. He is a member of the Dade County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Florida Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice.


Mr. Kurzban has been the lead trial attorney in a number of cases of public interest, cases where governmental entities have been held accountable for injuries to the public: Boyle v. Department of Transportation, Morejon v. Department of Environmental Protection, Jean-Baptiste v. Dade County, and Rivera v. Dade County. He has established record sums for medical malpractice and personal injury recoveries. He is married to Susan Kurzban; their children are Jed, Seth, and Meredith. Mr. Kurzban is a legal author published by the University of Miami Law Review, and has named his as one of the “Leading Plaintiff Lawyers in America.”
